| Horses, Bourbon & Chocolates Monday August 13, 2012 $42 per person Join us for a fun filled day in the heart of Kentucky horse country. Our day will start off with a guided tour in horse country and visits to 2 Thoroughbred horse farms. Beautiful horse farms have been part of the Bluegrass since the region was first settled. There are about 450 horse farms in the region (about 150 in Lexington/Fayette County alone). They're all working farms. Next were off to Woodford Reserve for a lunch and tour of the distillery. The distillery itself is the oldest and smallest working bourbon distillery and a National Historic Landmark. Between its rich history and the Craft Bourbon distilled there today, it has quite a story to tell. To finish the day we will make a visit to the Old Kentucky Chocolates. Home of Old Kentucky Bourbon Chocolates, Old Kentucky Derby Mints, Chocolate Thoroughbreds, and The Colonel's favorite (Old Fashion Pulled Creams). The motor coach will leave Brown County Fairgrounds (325 West State St. Georgetown, OH) at 7am and should arrive back around 6:30pm. |
